Jolly June 2015

June is here and let me tell you guys, I really need to focus on being happy.

May was a rollercoaster of a month. Full of the highest highs and some of the lowest lows. I learned so much, had some amazing experiences but I ended the month in a really low place. As a result, I’ve decided to make a conscious effort to think and be more positive.

I had all these reviews lined up, but then my WiFi was down for two weeks, so they all had to be put on the back burner. Then the weather stopped playing nicely for photos, but never fear! Reviews they are a-coming!

So lots of new and fun skincare posts coming up, in addition to TV, Movie reviews and comic book reviews. I’ve really been slacking off on those too. Seriously what have I been doing with my time?!

This is a work in progress and I’m super excited for the finished result.

Fitness, languages and other boring-slash-awesome stuff

In May I wanted to, finish a textbook, lose 5kg, dye my hair red & get a job in an agency. I didn’t.

I actually gained 5kg (sigh), didn’t touch a textbook, dye my hair or get a job.

But! June is Jolly, so I refuse to let myself get pulled down by sadness of last month’s missed goals, and I’m going to recommit to them and actually do them. Starting by getting into a proper routine. I wrote down a daily template so I’m excited to move forward.

Psychology of Popular Media & Other Academic Ramblings

I didn’t get to write the PoPM post, but I did write it up for Medium which is where I put all my more academic ramblings. So a win! This month, I want to get the PoPM version up and maybe another Medium one up too.

How was your May? Did everything go as planned? Are you excited for June? Tell me all about it in the comments 🙂

  1. I am very excited for June and am glad to have May behind me. May was not a good month as I had more pain days than non pain days. I am excited for some decent weather too 🙂

Sorry to hear your May didn’t go as planned but good that you have a positive attitude and plan for June! My #makeithappenMay was good but stressful. I got some of my goals done and some not but overall, I’m okay with that. June is my birthday month so I always feel really positive and my research is going well which helps.

I think the one piece of advice I can offer is to surround yourself with people who make you feel good, make you try harder, and support you (even if they don’t know it). I’ve been surrounding myself with good people and not that there were bad people in my life before but feeding off other peoples energy makes bringing yours up a lot easier. That was my experience!

    Best wishes for Jolly June!
