This is the best article I’ve read in a long time on the topic of minorities in the media. Gawker have nailed it, it is quite honestly one of the funniest things I’ve read.  And even though it goes against everything I’ve been taught about the internet, read the comments. The comments are almost as funny as the article. It is refreshing to read something that picks apart what is wrong with reportings about race in the media. Switch ‘white’ with any other minority and this could have easily ended up on any more reputable news outlet. One race isn’t more predisposed to acts of violence or vandalism, guess what? Everyone is screwy.  Just some groups get held up to the spotlight a lot more than others.
