Packaging

The packaging is simple, functional and sturdy, which is an aesthetic I personally love. Very simple and model chic. 

Texture & Smell

It feels and smells like rose hand sanitiser, there’s no nice way to put it. 

Claims

A moisturizing gel that has been infused with collagen and oxygen capsules. Supple and dewy skin are a result of the the oxygen water complex providing a gentle burst of hydration. Collagen capsules infused with rose oil have been clinically tested and create a smooth complexion, while minimizing the appearance of pores.

Review

This was bought on a whim. I’d tried the Beauty Water, and while it’s nice, I’m convinced the only reason it’s was so widely acclaimed is because it appeared in countries where micellar waters were relatively new concepts. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fine, but it does nothing that my Garnier Micellar Cleansing waters (at under £4) can’t do. I also didn’t see any of the gentle cleansing exfoliation that they claimed existed. 

I’d heard their eyeliners were great (they are, will talk about those later), and while I was picking them up I saw the Beauty Gel. I have oily skin so I’m always on the look out for light day moisturisers for my skin. I um’d and ah’d at purchasing it, and out of what I can only imagine was pure exhaustion from a day of beauty shopping, my then boyfriend purchased it for me. It’s been one of my favourite things to use from that entire trip’s haul. 

I had high hopes that this would be the perfect moisturiser/primer combo for my skin, surprise it is not. It’s strength lies in its absolute simplicity. What makes this so great is that it applies well, plays nice with all my other products and still gives me the hydration that my oily skin needs.

If you have oily skin, need a light moisturiser and like gels? This is the perfect moisturiser for you! The pump is easy to use and dispenses the perfect amount for neck and face. It instantly sinks into my skin and the smell while alcohol-y doesn’t linger, which is great because I don’t need to smell like hand sanitiser.

Repurchase?

I like it, but it isn’t all that exciting. One thing it has going for it, is that it’s pretty cheap, £20 (inc shiping) for 330ml. Even with daily six months later use I’ve still got plenty of product to go. So while I’m tempted to buy another, I won’t till it’s basically gone. Who knows, something better might come along!
